London-based Milc Property Stylists are experienced
home stagers who will view your property through the eyes of a potential
buyer, giving you impartial (and often invaluable) advice on why your
home isn’t selling. We’ll also offer help with styling
or staging your property – inside and out – to help achieve
a quick sale at your property’s maximum price.
Q: What is home staging?
One of the services that we offer is home staging, which some people
confuse with interior design. Home staging is about presenting a property
as an appealing product to a wide range of buyers rather than creating
a personalised interior.
It is not about spending vast amounts of money on
expensive designer furnishings, but being clever with the client’s
budget and stretching it as far as possible.
Tricks of the trade involve buying furnishings from
trade sources and searching for a bargain on the high street. These
items look smart and expensive but may have in fact cost very little.

Q: How does the process work?
Milc Property Stylists will visit your property for an initial consultation.
In this we will discuss with you the best plan of action to maximise
the aesthetic appeal of your home, taking the appearance of your property,
target market and budget into account. We will then provide you with
an obligation-free estimate.

Q: Why use Milc?
Milc is a young, enthusiastic and innovative London-based team who
are genuinely passionate about what they do. Co-founders Polly Maxwell
and Heidi Clark have extensive experience gained from working for
one of London’s largest estate agents. Offering a full service
menu – including property presentation service, re-decoration, accessorising,
styling, furniture hire and photography – Milc can take a property
from un-saleable to show stopping in a few steps.
It has been proven that by investing a small amount
in dressing or styling for sale purposes, an additional 10 –
20% can be added to the value of the property. Milc work with private
clients, agents and property developers alike, and can also design
and fit out complete show homes in new developments.
Unlike other property stylists in the marketplace,
Milc Property Stylists are taking a new angle on design. Recognising
that buyers are in a strong position to pick and choose, Milc creates
eye-catching innovative schemes that will really help to make a property
stand out from the usual magnolia walls and neutral palette that so
many others suggest.

Q: How much will it cost?
Our professional home staging services start from £175. If you
are serious about significantly increasing the value of your property,
we suggest that you look at spending approximately 1% of your property’s
asking price to make a significant difference and gain a substantial
return on your investment.

Q: How much can I expect to see
as a return on my initial investment?
Our home staging clients who have invested 1% of the value of their
property have typically increased the value by 10–15%!

Q: How long does it take?
Our property presentation and home staging services range from a one-day property makeover,
through to complete home furnishing and staging, which will take between
1 and 3 weeks until installation.

Q: How does payment work?
Milc Property Stylists ask for a payment of 50% of fees along with
the full cost of any goods or materials to be used, before commencement
of the work. We will not start the work until the payment has been
received in cleared funds. On completion of the job, the remaining
50% of the fees will be charged.

Property photography is vital in creating that first impression and
capturing the attention of a potential buyer. We are professional,
experienced property photographers and so we understand that it is
critical that you market your property with stylish shots that will
highlight the very best features of your property!

Our client base is primarily located within the M25; however previous
